Are you throwing away the most important part of your fruits and vegetables?

You know that feeling you get when you catch a sale on something you really like. Well image how you would feel if you could get that item free of charge. You gardeners out there know what I'm talking about but the good news for non gardeners is that you don't have to till, mulch, weed and water your entire backyard to enjoy your favorite food.  Just one large pot is all you need to grow many popular vegetables this summer. The best news is that it won't cost you a thing so you have nothing to loose.

What is the most important part of your fruits and vegetables? To find the answer you don't need to look any further than your garbage pail. Every time you purchase fruits and vegetables you get free seeds, seeds that most of us promptly dis-guard. I usually rinse, dry and store those seeds until spring.

Here are a couple of pictures from a few of the cantaloupes I grew in a pot on the porch last summer.
