My friends and family have never had a problem buying me a gift. If it grows in the ground and produces fruit or vegetables I'm a happy guy. It's a no-brainier, I have a draft lemon tree growing in the corner of my kitchen.

Well, thanks to the great gift I received from my daughter and son-in-law I may have to alter my definition of what type of gift makes me happy. My Christmas gift included seeds in pods but that was just the beginning. They gave me something that revolutionized home gardening a few years ago. My gift was something called an AeroGarden. 

Aero Garden

In case you are not familiar with Aero Gardens or the concept Aero Gardens do not require soil just seed pods, nutrients, water, and an LED light. In certain parts of the world, the concept of growing plants without soil is not new this gizmo sits on your counter and does the work for you. It even tells you when you need to add more water or nutrients. I am not a paid spokesperson but over the years many people have told me that they don't have a green thumb or they don't have the time to garden or they can't bend or stoop well if you are one of those people you may want to try this product. 

I am very excited to see what I can grow using this garden. According to what I have read I can grow lettuce in about a month.  I will periodically post updates on what I grow using this method. Feel free to ask me questions. I will do my best to answer them.
